For the second Game Jam I was working with Charlie, Harry and Alex M. The theme was Light and Dark and so we decided to make a game where you would avoid the spotlight and navigate a maze to collect a trophy and return back to the start. If you are caught by the spotlight you are returned back to the beginning. For the project I made the maze and modelled the pedestal the trophy is found on.
I used a website to make a randomly generated maze, I then used it as reference to make the maze in unity. I attempted to make the maze using a single shape but some parts had to be made separately due to them not all being connected.
Later on in the design I decided to change the maze colour from pink to an earthy colour to suit the theme of the game which I was told was going to be set in either a warehouse or some kind of crypt. I used pink during design to make it easier to see.

My part in the Game Jam was to make the maze and an altar for the item you would get at the end of the maze. For the altar I made it using a cylinder in Maya and changing it to have a wide flat base that thins out to a sort of swiggly/bumpy part and then widen out. I then push one of the faces inward and took another cylinder and put it in the center. I chose to put it all in gold so that the player would feel like they are retrieving a very great treasure.
